ESA is excited to bring its transformative energy solutions to Kenya, a dynamic hub for renewable energy. Our 120MW/480MWh BESS at the strategic Suswa substation in Kajiado County is being designed to be a cornerstone of Kenya’s low-carbon future.

This project aims to optimise Kenya’s rich geothermal and hydropower resources, to will seamlessly balance solar and wind energy, provide additional peak power, support network stability and ease critical grid constraints.

• Technology: Lithium Ion Phosphate (LFP) Battery, the safest and most cost-effective chemistry for utility-scale storage

• Capacity: 120MW / 480MWh

• Status: Feasibility study stage
